The Fall Part 2: Unbound will tie up the first games loose threads three years later

It’s been two long years since Over The Moon Games’ The Fall launched on PC and Wii U (one year since it arrive on Xbox One and PS4), but finally, players will finally have a resolution to the game’s cliffhanger ending. The Fall Part 2: Unbound (opens in new tab) is coming to PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC in early 2017.

In case you missed out the first time around, I won’t spoil the story for you. I will, however, give you the setup: after crash-landing on an unknown planet, a spacesuit’s artificial intelligence is activated after vital-monitoring systems malfunction and the human wearing the suit cannot be detected within. Bound by her programming, the AI attempts to deliver the presumably unconscious and critically-injured human to safety.

Part Metroid, part Limbo, The Fall was crowdfunded via Kickstarter. With no mention of such a campaign in The Fall Part 2’s announcement and a short time before its anticipated launch, it would seem the first game sold well enough to finance another venture into space. I say thank goodness, because not knowing what happened to (REDACTED) for two years has been killing me.
