Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter adds two more levels and bosses

MegaMan spiritual successor Mighty No. 9 has blown past its initial funding goal and first stretch goal, raising $1.3 million since it was revealed on Saturday. Creator Keiji Inafune expresses his appreciation for the fans in this new video update released to backers.

With the first stretch goal of $1.2 million cleared, Mighty No. 9 will now feature eight levels of hopping, blasting, and transforming with eight unique bosses instead of six–it would’ve been kind of weird if Mighty No. 7 and Mighty No. 8 weren’t around to pummel for weapons, right?

Mighty No. 9 is currently planned for release on PC around April 2015, with Mac and Linux builds set as a $1.35 million stretch goal. PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U versions will only happen if the Kickstarter reaches $2.5 million.

The minimum pledge required to get a game is $20, though you’re welcome to lay down $10,000 if you’d like to have dinner with Inafune himself.
