Meet the first (accidental) Destiny 2 Raid team – 8 players who signed up for PvP but got stuck in a Strike

Oh sure, the Destiny 2 (opens in new tab) beta is all fun and games… until someone gets whisked away to a far corner of the galaxy that they didn’t want to go to. But that’s exactly what happened to Reddit (opens in new tab) user Dark_Assassin00.

After queuing up for a game of Control, Assassin – along with their three teammates and the entire opposing team – loaded into the Inverted Spire Strike map instead. Not only that, but the game counted them as being on the same side. So what was intended to be a PvP bout ended up becoming a sort of accidental Raid (plus two players for… I dunno, emotional support).

Well, they call it a “beta” for a reason, I suppose. Still, it’s always interesting to see how players can bend and break the walls a game puts up, even when it’s unintentional.

If you’re looking for ways to enjoy the beta without breaking it, check out our Destiny 2 beta guide (opens in new tab). And if you’re wondering where The Farm is (opens in new tab), it goes live July 23.
