GTA 5s PC version launching with a new radio station, The Lab

As if it didn’t already have a near mind-boggling selection of music, GTA 5 (opens in new tab)’s PC version will include an all new radio station called The Lab. The station will include tracks pulled from Welcome to Los Santos, a new album inspired by the game’s original score.

The album and station feature tracks composed by The Alchemist and Oh No, along with Woody Jackson and Tangerine Dream, who were behind the game’s guitar-and-synthesizer heavy incidental score.

The music will debut in GTA 5’s PC version when it releases on April 14, and the album will release for download and on CD/vinyl on April 21. Naturally, you’ll also be able to use the new tracks for background music in your Rockstar Editor video, though Rockstar made no mention of bringing The Lab to the game’s consoles versions. It did say to ‘stay tuned for more updates on GTA 5 music in the future’.

The PC versions of previous GTA games also supported custom radio stations, letting users play their own music from their hard drives, but it remains to be seen whether GTA 5 will continue that tradition.
