Director and producer Tim Sullivan has finally delivered a finished cut of the horror anthology film Chillerama to the Image Entertainment following a 12-year gestation period.
“Hard to believe, but today, after 12 years since creating it with Adam Rifkin and two years in production with Rif, Joe Lynch and Adam Green – today, the four of us are personally delivering the final finished version of Chillerama to Image Entertainment! Hell yeah baby!” he told his Facebook followers.
Sullivan has directed one of the film’s segments and recently previewed the project at Comic-Con.
The plot centres around the closing night at the last drive-in theater in America, where Cecil B. Kaufman is showing a marathon of lost horror film prints – including Wadzilla , I Was A Teenage Werebear , The Diary Of Anne Frankenstein and Zom-B-Movie .
The film gets its European premiere at FrightFest 2011, which is partnered for the third year running by Total Film and takes place at the Empire Cinema in Leicester Square between 25-29 August.
Chillerama plays on Saturday 27 August at 11.30pm and tickets can be booked by calling 08 714 714 714 or by visiting www.empirecinemas.co.uk.
