Star Wars: The Old Republic interview with lead writer Daniel Erickson

Stories in MMOs are hardly ever memorably. In fact, most gamers would admit to skipping through it entirely, clicking “accept” and killing ten rats or doing whatever else it is they are being asked to do without ever knowing why. Star Wars: The Old Republic changed that, and we had a chance to sit down with the man responsible to talk about the process, and BioWare will continue to innovate in the years to come.

In the interview we talk to lead writer Daniel Erickson, who read over every line of dialog and helped drive the creative vision of the story. He tells us about the voice acting, the narrative, and everything else we can think of. We even ask him if “Midi-chlorians” are in the game, so you should watch just to find out if BioWare was able to avoid throwing that into the game. He also goes through every single class and tells us what his favorite parts are (and, in turn, gets us excited to try them all out). Take a look and tell us what you think!
