Bethesda is trying to make all of Fallout 4 in VR, but would you play it?

Bethesda already has a small part of Fallout 4 (opens in new tab) working in VR – a little area around a Red Rockets garage you you can explore and shoot up . However director Todd Howard is promising more.

Speaking to Glixel (opens in new tab) Howard talks about the demo and says “we’ll see where that heads.” When asked if Bethesda is trying to VR-ify the entire game, he replied, “we definitely are.” Talking of the little demo nugget they’ve made so far he added: “The core experience, meaning you put on the headset and you’re standing in the world of Fallout and can go where you want, just that little bit is every bit as cool as you hope it would be. Once we did that, we were like, ‘OK, we gotta see where this goes.'”

I’ve played the Fallout 4 VR demo and it is amazing – being able to look around, fight bandits and actually lift your arm to check your Pip-Boy is fantastic. Although the game currently uses a teleport style movement system that I’m not a great fan of. That said, I don’t get motion sick so I understand why it’s there, I just hope it’s not the only option.

The question is: would you play Fallout 4 in VR?
