After Tiller review

George Tiller was a late-term abortion doctor assassinated in 2009 by a pro-life crusader in Wichita, Kansas. His death provides the starting point for the thoroughly thorny path this documentary travels.

A frequently harrowing but level-headed look at a handful of doctors who perform third-trimester abortions in the US, Martha Shane and Lana Wilson’s film sheds light on the agonising decisions of the women seeking help and the sobering realities faced by the physicians involved.

Rarely is this issue presented so fairly and without the requisite hysteria.
